Democratic State and Federal Primaries to be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010.  Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Town Hall, 158 Main Street).    Primaries will be held for registered Thomaston Democratic voters for the offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Comptroller and Secretary of the State.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Old Firehouse adjacent to the Town Hall at 158 Main Street.
The Honorable Richard Blumenthal, Attorney General and the Honorable Nancy Wyman, State Comptroller came to Thomaston to support the 2009 Jackson and Barrett team at the Thomaston DTC Spaghetti Supper held at Fratelli’s.
BARRETT UNANIMOUSLY ENDORSED

Laurie Barrett (Thomaston) has been endorsed by Thomaston, Harwinton, Burlington and Northfield delegates to challenge Representative John Piscopo for the 76th House District.  Laurie has served on the Thomaston Board of Education for 12 years (currently is Chairman) and works as a registered nurse.  Laurie is married to Bruce (30 years) who was elected to the Thomaston Board of Selectmen in 2009.  Laurie and her husband have raised five children in Thomaston.  In 1996 Bruce and Laurie started Barrett Family Oil Company which currently serves over 900 families in 13 towns.  Click Here to Read More about Laurie.
