Please join the Thomaston DTC in supporting the 2010 Democratic Party Candidates for State Offices listed below (Governor/Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of the State, State Treasurer, State Comptroller, State Attorney General and 76th District State Representative).  Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday November 2, 2010 at the Old Firehouse (Town Hall, 158 Main Street).  For additional information, please click on any of the Candidate Banners below to go directly to the individual’s website (NOTE:  with the exception of Laurie Barrett, 76th District candidate, you will be leaving the Thomaston DTC website).

Laurie Barrett (Thomaston) has been endorsed by Thomaston, Harwinton, Burlington and Northfield delegates to challenge Representative John Piscopo for the 76th House District.  Laurie has served on the Thomaston Board of Education for 12 years (currently is Chairman) and works as a registered nurse.  Laurie is married to Bruce (31 years) who was elected to the Thomaston Board of Selectmen in 2009.  Laurie and her husband have raised five children in Thomaston.  In 1996 Bruce and Laurie started Barrett Family Oil Company which currently serves over 900 families in 13 towns.  Click Here to Read More about Laurie.
