About DTC

The Thomaston Connecticut Democratic Town Committee (DTC) focuses on issues and public policies that are important to the quality of life for town residents. The DTC strives to promote citizen participation in politics and government by encouraging and inviting all interested citizens to become involved in the DTC. With your help, time, talent and/or contributions you can directly influence the quality of life and help make a difference in our town and help to develop responsive and responsible political and governmental leadership at all levels.

Members & Meetings

Thomaston DTC meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lena Morton Gallery, Main Floor, Thomaston Town Hall, 158 Main Street, Thomaston, CT 06787, unless otherwise noted. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee has been meeting virtually. Please visit our social media pages for the most current information regarding our meetings.


All registered Democrats are encouraged to attend the monthly DTC meeting. Only members are able to vote.


Members of the Thomaston DTC are elected in even-numbered years for a 2-year term at the Democratic Party Caucus. To qualify as a candidate for membership, the individual must be a registered Democrat. Names are submitted to the nominating committee or individuals can be presented from the floor of the caucus meeting. During the interim period between caucuses, new members can be added by majority vote of the DTC.
