Meet Kristin Mosimann, candidate for Board of Finance, proud Thomaston High School graduate and mom of three THS graduates, the O’Sullivan sisters; Jamison, McKenna and Cierra! She is a lifelong resident and active member of the Thomaston community, with both corporate and non-profit financial work experience.
Kristin is a well loved and respected teacher in the Region 10 School District. She earned her BS in Business Management from Southern CT State University and her MS in Elementary Education from Bridgeport University.
Kristin has been actively involved in the town of Thomaston since 2005. She was on the Board of Finance from 2005 to 2013, the Pension Committee from 2005 to 2013, the Board of Selectman from 2013 to 2015, and served as Town Treasurer from 2017 to 2021. She has served as a member of our Historic Commission since 2006. She has also previously served as a Trustee and Treasurer of the Railroad Museum of New England.
She is running for the Board of Finance because she believes in responsible management of our town’s resources and a transparent, forward-thinking approach to fiscal management. She is committed to fiscal responsibility, transparency and long-term strategic planning.
Kristin’s background and history with the town make her a clear choice for this next chapter.
